Carlos O’Connor – ENT Specialist
Dr Carlos O’Connor Reina is a Specialist in Otorhinolaryngology (ENT) with more than 25 years of clinical experience, with particular expertise in sleep-disordered breathing and upper airway pathology. His work combines advanced surgical skill, scientific research, and a strong commitment to innovation within sleep medicine.
He holds a degree in Medicine and Surgery and completed his specialist training in Otorhinolaryngology and Cervico-Facial Surgery in 1994. In 2002, he obtained his PhD in Medicine from the University of Seville, further consolidating his academic foundation. Alongside his clinical practice, he served for a decade as Associate Professor of Otolaryngology at the University of Seville, contributing to the education and training of future specialists.
Work life

He is recognised as an Expert Somnologist by the European Sleep Research Society and is a founding member of the Sociedad Iberoamericana de Cirugía del Sueño. His professional affiliations also include international and national otorhinolaryngology societies, reflecting his active engagement in collaborative scientific development.
Dr O’Connor Reina has introduced novel diagnostic and surgical procedures in Spain, including induced sleep endoscopy techniques and advanced pharyngoplasty methods. He is also the developer of Airway Gym, a medical application dedicated to upper airway myofunctional therapy, integrating technology with evidence-based treatment strategies for obstructive sleep apnoea.
