Dr Ana Rosa Jurado López – Womens health
Dr Ana Rosa Jurado López is a highly experienced physician and sexologist with more than two decades of dedicated clinical and academic work in the field of sexual health. Her career reflects a deep commitment to advancing the understanding of human sexuality and supporting individuals and couples in achieving holistic wellbeing.
She graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Granada in 1989 and went on to pursue doctoral training within the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the Autonomous University of Madrid. Her specialist training in sexual health was further developed through the Health Department of the Junta de Andalucía, strengthening her clinical foundation in this field.
Work life
In 2009, Dr Jurado López completed a Master’s degree in Sexology at the University of Almería. She later obtained a PhD in Medicine from Camilo José Cela University in Madrid in 2013, consolidating her academic and research expertise in sexual medicine.
Dr Jurado López currently leads the Women’s Health Department at Triay Medical Centre in San Pedro de Alcántara (Málaga), where she works with a wide range of sexual health concerns. Her clinical work includes sexual medicine, couples therapy, desire disorders, menopause-related issues, and sexually transmitted infections, among other areas.
In addition to her clinical responsibilities, she is actively involved in professional medical societies. She is a member of the International Menopause Society and the Spanish Contraception Society, serves as President of the European Institute of Sexology, and is a board member of the Spanish Academy of Sexology and Sexual Medicine. Her academic engagement also includes editorial and scientific contributions to specialised journals within the field of sexology.
Fluent in Spanish, French, and English, Dr Jurado López works with sensitivity to cultural and individual differences, fostering an environment of trust, discretion, and respect in her clinical practice.
